Follow up last article, I am writing the accessories market for garment, which is an essential materials to make clothing. It is located in the underground floor of the fabric market we talked about in the last article. Though it is one floor only, you can find every accessory you need here. There are buttons, zippers, pearl trims/chains, lace trims, ribbons, drawstrings, beads, rhinestones, embroidered tapes, patches, labels… Basically, as long as it is available in the market, you can find here. Even though you cannot find it, the suppliers here can produce it.
Distribution: 1-8 street
At this floor, it is separated to 8 zone. They were called 8 streets. You can tell which street you are at by looking up to the sign overhead. According to the accessories you are looking for, go to the corresponding street.
Like this one, you can tell this is 4 street.
Normally, 1-4 streets mainly distribute different types of buttons, belt buckles, zippers, rhinestone, hardware, etc.
5-8 streets mainly are lace, trims, elastic, tapes, shoulder pads, patches, sequins, etc.
Tips:
- There are a wide range of accessories. You can not go through them all for just one day. Oh, remember to wear sneakers to ease your feet.:)
- Basically, you will not be charged to take a few samples. Even though you need to pay, the fee will not be expensive, like around 5 RMB or 10 RMB
- There might be some need to order to make, so you will need to wait for couple days to get the samples.
- Since there are a wide range of accessories, it is effective to make a list of what you need (eg. what type of trims/ color/ length…) before you start the treasure hunt, or you might be lost in the candy box easily. 🙂
- MOQ – It happens that some items are out of stock or some are not available and you need to customize, remember to ask for MOQ. Some will have a mold fee as well. For instance, if you would like to make a specific metal material trims, the supplier would charge you a mold fee around 100-500 US dollars, which is for developing the model shape and also there is always MOQ like 1,000pcs. They may return the mold fee if you could reach a higher quantity like 10,000pcs.
